Due to an overwhelming response from Australian fans, London Grammar announce Sydney venue upgrade. The bands headline show scheduled for Thursday, 21st September at the Enmore Theatre will now take place at the Hordern Pavilion.
Tickets already purchased for the Enmore Theatre will remain valid for the Hordern Pavilion show. Special guests to be announced and tickets are on sale now.
The announcement follows the news that the Brit Award-nominated trio sold out not one, but two shows at the iconic Sydney Opera House within minutes. An additional third Sydney show was also added for the Enmore Theatre which in turn sold out in a matter of hours. After selling out their headline show in Fremantle instantly, a second London Grammar show at the Fremantle Arts Centre has now been added for Sunday, September 17.
The extended tour will now see Hannah Reid, Dan Rothman and Dot Major perform seven massive shows across four states in some of the country’s most esteemed venues and arenas and includes a headline set at Brisbane Festival’s marquee music event; a curated outdoor concert at the beautiful Riverstage with a full, supporting line-up to be announced July 11.
The tour marks the release of their stunning, critically acclaimed second album Truth Is A Beautiful Thing, which is out now via Dew Process / UMA and claimed the esteemed honor of triple j Feature Album.
Truth Is A Beautiful Thing, London Grammar’s first record in four years and the follow up to their multi-platinum-selling debut, If You Wait, has already been heralded around the world as one of the best albums of 2017. Featuring production credits from Paul Epworth (the multi-Grammy and Oscar-winning producer for the likes of Florence & The Machine and Adele), as well as friend and Mercury Prize-nominee Jon Hopkins (Brian Eno, King Creosote) on the sweeping lead single ‘Big Picture’; the album is also filled with colour and depth provided by the genius of the 32-piece City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. The record also includes credits from LA based Greg Kurstin (Sia, Beck) as well as Tim Bran and Roy Kerr.
