Malibu Pier

Me and my fellow beautiful creative Australian sisters, Alex Vickery and Grace Sewell, decided to go to the beach one afternoon when I first moved here in the summer. We watched the sunset at Malibu Pier Cafe. It was so beautiful… if you go to check out Malibu while you are in LA finish your day here at happy hour.

The Hollywood Bowl

More nights than not, the bowl has a concert on with the LA philharmonic playing shows most nights during the summer. A really beautiful outdoor amphitheater and a historic place of music history. It has a certain wisdom and energy to it.
If you can’t get to the bowl, just go see a show while you’re here! There is always someone to go see.

The flea markets on a Sunday is my weekly wind down.
I get $50 out and go bargain- hunting, I first found these markets 2 years ago when my video director at the time took me shopping for props. It is full of beautiful vintage pieces and accessories, up and coming local designers, furniture, interior decor, and my favorite, crystals everywhereeeee… Always end up leaving with bags hanging off both arms and new crystals on all my fingers.

If you want to do the most LA thing possible while here/are staying in or near hollywood and want to go on a hike that’s not a drive, this is what I do.
I like going up the east trail stairs.
Once you get to the top it gives you a good perspective of how much pollution and smog we are living under everyday, so now I do it weekly to get above it and get some fresh air.

THE BEST COFFEE IN LA.
Owned by Aussies and full of Australian staff, if I ever feel home sick this is where I come. (I’m here like 4 days a week haha)
A little slice of Australian cafe culture right near my house, with finally-not-a-shitty-burnt-coffee/10 and delicious food.
Go on a Sunday before the flea markets!
