27 Listicle Series: THE RUMINATERS

That’s it,  The Ruminaters have told the boss to shove it, cracked a beer on Susan’s desk and dropped summer anthem ‘Boys Off Work’.

Under the watchful eye of long time producer and friend Rob Brinkman (Royal Blood, The Pixies) The Ruminaters put the final touches on their sophomore album ‘Welcome to Flight: S.U.N 91’ set for release in early 2018.

We caught up with THE RUMINATERS to find out their Top Five Sydney bands

THE RUMINATERS Top 5 Sydney bands Right Now
Best secrete in Sydney. Not enough people know him yet. And he doesn’t play enough either. You can only hear him on SoundCloud. Check out untitled. It’s the best song ever. He’s got the best way of mixing real life in to music.
These guys are putting more solid shows on than anyone at the moment. It’s only three people but you’d feel like you were listing to 20. It’s fast and fun. People go wild for it. And they’ve probably got one of the most ridiculous singalong songs ever. WAYYY OHH!

Pist idiots are making some of the best music out of the beer drinking scene. Sniff has a crazy way of making you believe and feel every word he is singing. You can tell when they play there’s no bullshit. Solid live music.

I swear these guys just popped out of no where. It’s dirty dirty music. Singer Broc is pretty much trying to put holes in every stage floor he plays. He doesn’t stop stomping and dancing like a Spanish chick. And when Bobby sings his song. It feels like you’ve just drunk a bottle of whiskey in one go and try to have sex for the ten thousandth time in one night.

Another secrete SoundCloud kid. This guy writes the best weird folkish music. I don’t know what it is I guess. It’s songwriter music??? You know when someone can just play on their own and not need anyone. And lyrically you can’t help but listen to what they are talking about. He’s the best at it. Unfortunately he doesn’t play nearly enough as he should. Check his song K1 it’s also the best song ever.

To celebrate the release of ‘Boys Off Work’ The Ruminaters have quit their jobs, hijacked a bus, grabbed their buddies and are heading out on the road for the ‘Left Our Jobs Forever’ tour. The lads will also join none other than  American sweethearts GROUPLOVE as special guests on their Australian Tour.
